The total number of passengers carried by Indian Scheduled Airlines in August 2008 (domestic) in the month of August, 2008 was 29.22 lakh, as against 30.85 lakh in July 2008, marking a decline in the number of passengers flying in the country. The airline-wise break-up of passengers carried by the Airlines in August, 2008 is as follows: Air India (Domestic) – 5.20 lakh Jet Airways – 7.00 lakh Jet Lite – 2.69 lakh Deccan – 2.95 lakh Kingfisher – 4.29 lakh Spice Jet – 2.47 lakh Paramount – 0.48 lakh Go Air – 0.79 lakh IndiGo – 2.98 lakh MDLR, 0.06 lakh The percentage share for each of the carriers for August, 2008 was: Air India (Domestic) – 18.0 per cent Jet Airways – 24.2 per cent Jet Lite – 9.3 per cent Air Deccan – 10.2 per cent Kingfisher – 14.8 per cent Spice Jet – 8.5 per cent Paramount – 1.7 per cent Go Air – 2.7 per cent IndiGo – 10.3 per cent MDLR- 0.21 per cent Seat factors for the domestic airlines in August, 2008 were: Air India (Domestic) – 56.2 per cent Jet Airways – 68.3 per cent JetLite – 63.0 per cent Air Deccan – 39.0 per cent Kingfisher Airlines – 59.0 per cent Spice Jet – 56.8 per cent Go Air – 70.0 per cent Paramount Airways – 69.0 per cent IndiGo – 62.0 per cent MDLR 73.4 per cent
