Following the news of a settlement over Apple's Beats and Bose, all Bose products - including both headphones and speakers have been removed from Apple's online store, appleinsider reported.

A rumour first surfaced a week back saying Apple would remove Bose sound products from its stores. That became a reality on Friday, with the disappearance of the company's headphones and speakers from the online storefront.

Though the products were pulled from the storefronts online, as of Friday afternoon queries such as "Bose Headphones" and "Bose Speaker System" still showed up in the search bar as suggested topics.

Though as of Friday, Bose products continued to be shown as suggested searches, but their purchase through Apple was not possible.

The company's online store had listed a total over 17 Bose products, which included a range of SoundLink Bluetooth speakers, as also its popular QuietComfort series of noise-canceling headphones.

It was the company's noise-canceling technology that prompted the company to file a lawsuit against Beats in July, in which it accused Studio and Studio Wireless series of infringing on its patents.

However, a week ago, Bose announced in court that it had settled its patent infringement lawsuit against Apple's Beats.

It was not known whether the removal of Bose products from Apple's store formed part of the terms of the settlement or whether there was another reason was at play.

The settlement between Beats and Bose had not been disclosed.

Meanwhile 9to5Mac reported headphones from Bose's QuietComfort series and speakers including the SoundLink Mini and SoundLink III had vanished from Apple's web storefront.

A search for "Bose" now pointed to one to refurbished Apple routers and other non-related items. Presumably Bose's lineup would probably an exit from retail stores, if products haven't been pulled down from shelves already.

The abrupt disappearance comes amid a growing rivalry between Apple, which now owns Beats headphones, and Bose, another headphone manufacturer.

Meanwhile, MacRumors reported that Apple would soon remove all things Bose from its shelves and it had now happened.

According to commentators though the two companies had settled differences, there was also a lawsuit over noise cancellation patents, but the two companies but the two companies quickly reached an out-court settlement. However, even the end of a fairly long retail relationship between Apple and Bose was a pointer things were not getting any better.
