The company brought to market around a dozen projectors and 15 LCD products during 2007. it expects to continue the trend in 2008. The new products in the LCDs and projectors segments form part of the company's strategy to tailor solutions for specific segments such as business process outsourcing, which requires conferencing features, and medical and heath segment, according to Bawa. For the IT / BPO segment, BenQ has brought out 15.4 inch monitors to enhance the viewing area without enhancing rates. Similarly, hospitals and educational institutions have brightly lit environs, where LCD monitors are able to better capture colours, and provide distortion-free viewing, making it a lot more comfortable for the user. According to Bawa, the projectors can project images on a blackboard, and hence are a good fit for business and educational usage. Government advisory to IPO investors
