Chennai:
ICICI OneSource (I-OneSource), one of India''s leading
business process outsourcing (BPO) services providers
or simply sub-contractors of various corporate services,
plans to hire more hands this year in line with its
expansion plans. The company plans to open call centres
and back-office operations nationwide.
Promoted
by ICICI Bank, the pure-play subcontracting company has
2,175 employees. I-OneSource primarily serves the banking,
insurance, asset management and diversified financial
services markets in the US and the UK. The company currently
handles upwards of 18 million voice and back-office transactions
a year.
I-OneSource
president, (US operations) Susheel Kurien says the company
also has plans to set up contact centres overseas.
In
the past 12 months, I- OneSource aggressively strengthened
its market position in India through significant investments.
The company acquired
CustomerAsset and established two service facilities in
India including a $3.5 million, 500-seat centre in Mumbai.
