Impetus Technologies selected by KnowNow to develop components for event-driven integration solutions news

Mumbai: Impetus Technologies, a leading provider of outsourced product engineering services, has entered into an agreement with KnowNow Inc., a leading provider of publish-subscribe technology for event-driven solutions.

According to the agreement Impetus will design, develop and maintain portions or components of the next-generation of products and technologies that KnowNow brings to the market.

KnowNow Inc. was recently named in Red Herring 100, as "One of the 100 Companies Most Likely to Change the World" based on its superior technology, business strategy over the past year and strong potential for continued success.

KnowNow's client components (called connectors) are developed on various platforms, languages, and devices including C++/ NET/Java/JavaScript/PDA's/MS-Excel etc.

Impetus will contribute to the design and development of the next generation of such connectors for the KnowNow platform. The Impetus team will also augment KnowNow's testing and quality assurance team to accelerate innovation and the delivery of new products to market. Impetus will be offering these services out of its Development Center at Indore.

KnowNow's integration software connects systems, applications and databases to people, providing immediate visibility into business-critical information as it changes. Leveraging the value of existing IT investments without disruption, KnowNow uses publish-subscribe over HTTP(S) to deliver the relevant information to the people who need it.

Headquartered in Sunnyvale, KnowNow is privately held, with backing from premier venture capital firms including Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Levensohn Venture Partners, Palomar Ventures, TPG Ventures and Wachovia Strategic Ventures.
