Murugappa Group names M A Alagappan as executive chairman, A Vellayan as vice chairmannews

Chennai: M A Alagappan, vice chairman, Murugappa corporate board and director, strategy, assumed charge as executive chairman, Murugappa Group, effective Wednesday, 25th October 2006. Consequently, he will relinquish charge of chairmanship of Tube Investments of India Ltd., Cholamandalam DBS Finance Ltd. and directorships in other public listed companies of the Group.
A Vellayan, currently director, marketing, has assumed charge as vice chairman and director, strategy, Murugappa Group.
