Hyderabad: Satyam Computer Services, a leading global provider of IT services, and Hummingbird, the world''s leading developer of enterprise information management systems (EIMS), have announced the launch of an ETL/BI (data extract, transformation and load) competency centre in Singapore.

First of its kind in South Asia, the ETL/BI competency centre aims to combine the expertise of Satyam in SAP implementation with Hummingbird''s leadership in the ETL/BI space.

Many SAP customers today face difficulties in linking data from legacy systems to SAP systems. Hummingbird ETL/BI fully enables SAP customers who have deployed SAP business information warehouse (BW) to integrate data from across the enterprise.

Hummingbird ETL/BI, part of the award-winning Hummingbird EIMS suite, is a powerful data integration solution that manages ETL/BI and enterprise application integration (EAI). It transforms, cleanses, enriches and directs information across the entire spectrum of decision support systems and corporate applications, for projects that might include data warehouses or data marts.

The ETL/BI competency centre, equipped with SAP servers, will provide SAP system integrators and consultants with a live environment to test ETL/BI implementation. It will also be a training centre for Satyam and Hummingbird customers in understanding more about ETL/BI implementation in SAP systems.
