The Satyam School of Leadership (SSL), the corporate leadership university of Satyam Computer Services Ltd has announced its partnership with Harvard Business School Publishing (HBSP) and Universitas 21 Global (U21Global) to commence SSL's "best-in-class" curriculum with advanced global business leadership learning for its senior leaders.

Aimed at developing universal competencies, the programme, termed as the certificate of global business leadership, will equip selected leaders with best-in-class skills taught in MBA programmes to expand and deepen its global strategic leadership capability.

The objective and focus of the programme is to boost Satyam's strategic leadership excellence, and further its "trusted-advisor" strategic relationships with its customers around the globe.

Harvard Business School Publishing HBSP (a wholly owned subsidiary of Harvard University), and U21Global (the online graduate school established by the Universitas 21 network of recognised global universities jointly with Thomson Learning) will collaborate in defining, selecting and delivering suitable learning content for the programme.

HBSP will provide significant leadership development content, case studies, and online leadership modules; U21Global will deliver suitably integrated additional content, participant management, and assessment processes.

SSL plans to enhance the global business leadership skills of more than 3,000 Satyam staff over the next three years. The programme, fully sponsored by SSL, has been developed and designed exclusively for the company and the selection of the staff will be based on nominations and performance. U21Global will make the final eligibility decision with the SSL team, based on a detailed evaluation process of each application.

SSL will facilitate enabling processes and systems at the organisational level to enable the staff who have been trained at the School of Learning a continuing learning experience.

Speaking on the partnership, B Rama Raju, co-founder and CEO, Satyam Computer Services, said, "Having recognised the need to grow global leaders, we have continuously taken initiatives to create an eco-system for nurturing this growth. It is also imperative to arm ourselves with current best practises from global innovators in education and training."

"The three-year tie-up today will enable us to draw upon the required learnings and thought processes from their knowledge base and experiences, and we are glad to extend the same to our associates," Raju added.

The partnership will extend over duration of three years and have a faculty well known professors from all over the world.

The school is being located in Hitech City, over a 160,900 sft a built-up area. The entire project is expected to be completed in eight months.
