New
Delhi: Spice Telecom, the leading cellular service
provider in Punjab, has announced an augmentation in its
existing roamers local link service. With this new
initiative, besides Spice subscribers, now all landline
subscribers will be able to make a local call to any in
roamer who has logged onto the Spice network while visiting
Punjab, thus offering massive savings on STD bills.
To
avail of this service, a landline subscriber will have
to dial 9814012342 and thereafter he will be prompted
to dial the number of the in-roamer. For example, for
calling the in-roamer number 98110 12345, the subscriber
would simply need to dial 9814012342 followed by the in-roamers
number 98110 12345.
The
roamers local link service is a demonstration of
the in-house domain expertise Spice has built up over
the years. In this service, the Spice switch will route
calls directly to the roaming subscriber, instead of the
call travelling to the home network of the roaming subscriber
and then coming back.
In
order to avail of the benefits of this service, the in-roamer
should be logged on to the Spice network while visiting
Punjab. Now landline subscribers need not have STD facility
for making calls to in-roamers.
Says
Spice Telecom general manager (marketing) Swarn Bajaj:
It is our endeavour to constantly innovate and launch
relevant value-added services. Our objective has always
been to offer higher value benefit to all people who avail
of our services on our world-class network. With this
new service calls made by landline subscribers will now
be charged as local one more reason for in-roamers
to log on to Spice while visiting Punjab.
We
have always focused on providing continuous value enhancement
through innovative value added services. This has been
one of the important factors, which makes Spice the first
choice of the people of Punjab and now of visitors as
well.
Earlier
Spice Punjab was the first operator in the region to offer
the innovative roamers local link service to its
subscribers. Using this service all Spice subscribers
were able to save on STD Charges while contacting the
in-roamers who had logged on to the Spice network. Now
with this service all landline subscribers would also
be able to contact in-roamers without paying hefty STD
charges.
