Mumbai: Global technology solutions provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has teamed up with California-based Agitar Software, a leader in enterprise developer testing solutions in Java technology, as part of its innovation initiative.

TCS will use, promote, and integrate Agitar''s innovative solution to automate and manage developer testing for Java projects for its global customers. TCS has more than 10,000 developers working on Java projects globally, so access to the latest technologies will help in quality improvement, cost-saving and timely delivery of projects.

Mountain View, California-based Agitar produces software that helps Java developers find and fix problems in the riskiest parts of their code as they write it. Agitar has users at organisations such as Avaya, Bear Stearns, Cisco, EDS, GE Healthcare, IBM Global Services, Northrop-Grumman, NTT Data, Siemens Medical, and webMethods.

Agitar is a privately held company funded by Silicon Valley venture capitalists Sequoia Capital, New Enterprise Associates, and Globespan Capital Partners.
