 Thiruvananthapuram:
IDBI Bank has
introduced two new variants of its current account services —
Business Special and Business Premium — for its customers in
Kerala.
 Says
IDBI Bank Thiruvananthapuram branch head A S Varughese: "The
two schemes have been designed keeping in mind the business needs
and interests of the trader community in the state."
These accounts come with
a host of free services and facilities that ensure optimal
utilisation of funds, higher liquidity and cost savings. The
customer needs to keep an average quarterly balance of only Rs
50,000 (Business Special) and Rs 1 lakh (Business Premium) to
avail of the services.
An attractive add-on
facility on offer is the at-par cheque facility (Rs 1.5 crore per
month for Business Premium and Rs 75 lakh for Business Special),
through which a customer can easily effect payments locally in
over 43 cities.
This helps the customer
preclude the risk associated with carrying  cash
and saves him the interest on borrowed cash.
