New Delhi: 2008 Auto Expo provided the platform for networking opportunities available for international exhibitors. The Italian trade delegation was one of the key exhibitors this time. The Italian Trade Commission is a government agency promoting, facilitating and developing trade between Italy and the rest of the world. The Inter Continental Exchange (ICE) helps Italian companies to grow in foreign markets and promotes inward-outward investment. AICA (Italian Automotive Service Equipment Manufacturers Association), comprising of companies operating in the automotive service equipment was one of the many companies at ICE stand. Brembo, an international leading company in designing, developing and producing high performance braking system for cars, motorcycles, industrial and commercial vehicles, displayed cutting-edge devices tailored for the modern automobile. The Turin Chamber of Commerce is a body working to promote territorial and economic development by networking with other countries in Auto Expo 2008. Besides these, there were independent companies looking to build their presence in the market. One such company was Automation and Control Systems (ACS), a key manufacturer. . "We have a capable system which can produce1800 pieces per hour, all uniquely designed and coded", says Rohan Valia, sr. executive with ACS. Italytrade.com is a portal recognised by Italian Institute for Foreign Trade that provides access to a database of over 40,000 profiles of Italian companies interested in exporting abroad.
