Major cement manufacturers have reported good growth in production and despatch figures for the month of July 2006, as there are no signs of any slow down in demand despite record prices. However, growth rates slowed down for the second month as compared to the earlier months of the current year. The Holcim group continues to outperform the Aditya Birla group in both production and despatch growth on a year-on-year basis. On a month-on-month basis, both groups have reported significant declines from the figures reported for June 2006.
