T V Mohandas Pai, director (human resources) at Infosys was the highest paid employee
of the Bangalore based IT bluechip in 2006-07 and drew $58,263, which was the
highest remuneration in Infosys per annum. In
a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission the company said that in
addition to the salary, Pai earned a fat bonus/incentive of $117,336 with other
annual compensation of $21,779. He also received an amount of $15,287 accrued
for long term benefits. Srinath
Batni, head co-customer delivery received the second highest salary at
the company with an annual package of a salary of $48,958 along with $100,784
as bonus/incentive; $17,263 as other annual compensation and $13,150 as amount
accrued for long-term benefits. CFO
V Balakrishnan is the third highest paid employee in terms of salary. He drew
$39,586 as salary; $100,512 as bonus/incentive; $28,674 as other annual compensation
and $11,190 as amount accrued for long-term benefits. Nandan
M Nilekani, who was earlier the CEO, MD of the company and is now set to become
the co-chairman, was paid an annual salary of $33,319. He earned $65,543 as bonus/incentive.
Another $10,629 came as other annual compensation and $9,652 as amount accrued
for long term benefits. COO
S Gopalakrishnan (Kris), the next in line CEO of Infosys, drew $33,319 as salary.
His annual package included $65,543 as bonus/incentive; $11,462 as other annual
compensation and $9,735 as amount accrued for long-term benefits. Infosys
non-executive chairman N R Narayana Murthy was the lowest
paid director. His salary was $12,898. However, his bonus was high $35,017.
He was also paid $42,845 as other annual compensation and $3,868 as amount accrued
for long term benefits.
