New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan will soon be back as quiz master on the idiot box this time with a show titled Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? a Hindi version of the international Mark Burnett game show 'Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?' The show is being dubbed as India's biggest reality game show will have well-heeled and confident adults from varied backgrounds testing their wits against a group of sprightly 10-year-olds. According to the Star Group the prize money time will be a huge Rs5 crore. Khan had earlier hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati, with a Rs2-crore prize money, on Star Plus. According to Uday Shankar, the chief executive of Star TV India, the channel will soon begin the process of finding the contestants for the quiz show. Khan has committed 8-10 days per month till May for the shooting of this new quiz show. The kids to be featured on the show will be selected through a talent hunt from across the schools in the country. The new quiz show will be telecast once a week though Star TV has not yet finalized its start date. A Star TV communiqué said that the essence of the show was the test that adults will be put to answering primary school questions, the pressure of going back to school and keeping their reputations intact. Khan is taking a break from films having visited Germany for the screening of his hugely successful 'Om Shanti Om.' Shankar said the show is pitched to bring the entire family together in front of their television sets. The new game show is being produced by Sidhartha Basu's Synergy Adlabs Media, which produced Kaun Banega Crorepati series for the network along with Bulldog Media and Entertainment. Star Plus the flagship channel of the Star Group has in the recent past seen a gradual fall in television rating points due to keen competition from Zee TV. The company hopes the success of its quiz show "Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?" will help it beat competition.
