Mumbai: Sanjay Sinha, head of equities, SBI Mutual Fund, has been appointed chief investment officer of the mutual fund from June 1.

The present CIO N. Sethuram Iyer, who was on deputation from State Bank of India, is leaving for a posting at the bank.

Prior to this, Sinha was as senior fund manager at UTI Mutual Fund.
