UK''s Vodafone Group Plc has announced having subscribed for convertible debentures in Bharti Enterprises Pvt Ltd representing a 4.39 per cent indirect economic interest on December 22, 2005.().

The Vodafone group had completed the acquisition of the 5.61 per cent direct interest in Bharti TeleVentures from Warburg Pincus LLC on November 18, 2005. Accordingly, from November 18, 2005 Vodafone proportionately consolidated its 5.61-per cent direct stake in the company and after December 22, 2005 will proportionately consolidate its entire 10-per cent economic interest.
