 Mumbai:
Sumeet Vaid has been appointed vice-president (retail
sales and distribution) at Prudential ICICI Asset Management
Company.
Prudential
ICICI is the largest private sector mutual fund company
in India with over Rs 10,100 crore of assets under management
as of February 2003.
Prior
to this, Vaid was vice-president and head (north zone),
PruICICI. Vaid is responsible for managing the retail
distribution and channel partners as well as the retail
team of PruICICI. He began his career with Prudential
ICICI in 1995, in sales and distribution.
 Vaid
has to his credit successful development and cultivation
of ‘Agency Force,’ a unique distribution channel
that encompasses selling PruICICI products through individual
financial advisors and distribution.
Vaid
is a graduate of Fore School Management (1995) and brings
with
him rich experience in distribution and sales. Prior to
Fore, he completed his bachelor’s degree in personnel
management and Industrial relations from Delhi College
Of Arts and Commerce.
