The
Terapia Ranbaxy production facility based in Bucharest
(Romania) has received a three-year certification renewal
for adherence to GMP standards at the operational level
by the National Agency of Medicine.

site became a part of Terapia Ranbaxy in August 2005,
when Terapia acquired the Promedic and Pharmaplant facilities.
"At
the Bucharest site, we manufacture over 60 products
comprising liquids (drops, syrups and ophthalmic solutions)
and solids," said Dragos Damian, CEO Terapia Ranbaxy.
"We have more than 100 highly qualified specialists
working at this site who have worked to very high standards
an have cooperated extremely well with the Quality Assurance
Department to get this important certification,"
Damian added.
Last
month, the company had received the manufacturing and
import authorisation and was also granted permission
for batch testing and release activities for products
manufactured outside the European Union, following inspections
in February by the Romanian regulatory agency.
In
November last year, Terapia Ranbaxy announced the completion
of its investment in a new logistic center in Otopeni
Bucharest aimed at increasing its warehousing facilities
for Ranbaxy products imported from India.
Established
in 1921, Terapia has a strong brand name and a consistent
