Mumbai:
Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), announced
that it has signed a multiyear agreement with Microsoft
to ensure product interoperability by jointly testing
Analysis Services in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and the
forthcoming SQL Server 2005 with new releases of Teradata
data warehouse solutions.

is working closely with industry partners to continue
delivering on its commitment to provide customers with
better connectivity," says Bill Baker, SQL Server
business intelligence general manager, Microsoft Corp.
"Our relationship with Teradata is an example of
this commitment as it ensures that SQL Server 2000 Analysis
Services will interoperate with Teradata to provide increased
support and flexibility for our mutual customer."
As part of the agreement, Teradata, a global technology
leader in enterprise data warehousing, analytic applications
and data warehousing services, will provide its latest
release of Teradata Warehouse 7.1 and supply consulting
services to assist Microsoft in testing and optimisation.
The companies will publish best practices for using the
products together.
