 Chennai:
TVS Electronics, a city-based computer peripheral major,
has launched a new dot matrix printer, MSP 255 Marathon,
targeting the banks, educational institutions, and small
and medium business segments. The new product is to strengthen
the company''s hold in the 9-wire, 136-column printer segment.
With
a tagline "Prints Faster, Lasts Longer,'' MSP 255
Marathon has the highest printing speed of 432 CPS (characters
per second) in its category. The machine sports the
new TVS ribbon cassettes and could print three times
more than the other normal printers due to the high
life span of 10 million characters per ink bank.
The
printer comes with a two-year warranty that includes
the print head. The package also includes a printer
stand, on which the printer can be mounted and paper
can be stacked below, thus saving table space.
